Senior Content Marketing Architect


Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-orientated senior content marketing architect to lead the global content strategy across multiple platforms, formats and media in support of sales growth, customer and partner engagement and retention, and brand loyalty. The primary purpose of this position is to develop content strategies and amplification methodologies, and drive strategy execution from ideation to completion and measurement. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, you will work closely with the global marketing department, product marketing, product management, and sales to ensure all content strategies and tactics are in line with overall business goals. With a focus on original content development, this position requires an understanding of B-to-B marketing, preferably within the technology industry and strong writing, editing and content planning skills.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the content strategy and tactical execution, content production and marketing based on strategic content marketing plan that considers business goals, customer and partner needs, and SEO methodologies
  • Manage internal and external content resources, and partner with SMEs, external agencies, industry influencers and publishers to drive content strategy execution from ideation to completion and measurement
  • Use creative story-telling and ideation to develop strategic content that guides prospects across each stage of the conversion funnel
  • Define and execute an annual content strategy for specific thematic areas of focus
  • Execute high-quality content including: blogs, infographics, videos, case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and more
  • Perform competitive site reviews and audits that benchmark content breadth, organization and presentation
  • Own quality of deliverables and provide exceptional customer and partner-facing tools to increase website traffic and leads, while enhancing partner enablement programs
  • Develop and refine content process and workflows to improve efficiency and quality
  • Execute various content marketing tactics while leading, managing and sourcing for most relevant internal or external resources
  • Provide editorial content and strategic recommendations for projects and functions as an avid editor of all content
  • Measure and analyze content performance; maintain strong knowledge of the industry and content marketing best practices to continually deliver fresh and engaging content
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in communications or content strategy design, execution and marketing in a professional, in-house or contract setting

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of B-to-B marketing, with experience in a technology organization preferred
  • Self-starter with performance-driven mindset
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to develop original, technical content
  • Creative thinking, problem solving and idea generating
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required
  • Excellent project management skills, including a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with focused attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and communicate orally and in writing with all levels of the organization
  • Requires design sensibility to envision how content will be presented or distributed in formats other than text-based articles.
  • Ability to flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and work with a diverse group of professional marketers
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures
