Executive leadership team
Mike Crest is the CEO of Arcserve and was previously general manager of the Data Management business at CA Technologies. He leads the team that took Arcserve independent.
Mike has more than 20 years of IT industry experience specializing in direct and indirect sales and marketing. At CA Technologies, he previously served as senior vice president and general manager of its 14-state Northern U.S. territory. He also held the position of regional vice president for Strategic Accounts and Information Management Solutions, where he helped integrate the PLATINUM and Sterling acquisitions into the company. Before CA, Mike also spent eight years in management positions at Corporate Express/ASAP Software where he drove sales and built key relationships with IT sourcing partners.
Mike holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Communications from Minnesota State University and Florida State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with concentrations in marketing, management information systems and speech communications.

Chief Financial Officer
Darin is the Chief Financial Officer at Arcserve, and brings more than 20 years of financial leadership in both public and privately held global environments, and their subsequent transformations.
Most recently, Darin served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Cachet Financial Solutions, Inc., where he took the organization public through a successful IPO in 2014. Prior to Cachet, he optimized growth strategies as the Chief Financial Officer at several technology companies, including Xiotech Corporation, Global Capacity Group and Stellent.
During his tenure at Stellent, he was a key member of the management team responsible for the sale of the company to Oracle Corporation. He has also held several finance management positions, including Director of Finance at Computer Network Technology.
Darin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Saint Thomas.
Chief Marketing Officer
Rick joined Arcserve as Chief Marketing Officer in October 2014.
Rick has 30 years of marketing experience, which includes leading startups, growth, M&A and turnaround companies to success in a range of global executive positions. Prior to joining Arcserve, Rick consulted for Marlin Private Equity for two years, helping companies manage the merger and integration process, including Arcserve.
As Infor’s senior vice president of Global Marketing, he helped drive company growth from emergence to $2.2B in 5 years. Rick co-founded and helped take software company Information Advantage through a successful IPO. He became president of the Business Intelligence division when the company was acquired by Sterling Software.
His passion lies in all aspects of marketing, with a focus on quickly assessing and dramatically improving marketing impact through a pragmatic, metrics-driven approach developed from the experience of over 35 successful mergers and integrations.
Rick and his wife raised their family in Minnesota. He enjoys sailing, skiing, biking and traveling with his family, which includes a daughter in London and a son in Boston.
Oussama joined Arcserve as Vice President of Products in January 2016, assuming a key role in managing the development and product management teams at Arcserve.
He has nearly 25 years of IT and R&D experience driving and achieving product strategy and roadmaps, acquisition of new technology, and developing strategic business partnerships in both Fortune 100 and emerging companies.
Previously, he held senior executive positions at EMC, Carbonite and Symantec where he led global engineering organizations and accelerated growth through harnessing innovative ideas, technology, and organic and inorganic product portfolio enhancements. In addition, Oussama has extensively consulted with software companies to help them develop and acquire the right technologies.
Oussama is co-author of Digital Data Integrity: The Evolution from Passive Protection to Active Management. Published by Wiley in 2007, it takes a unique look at data protection and management, highlighting the paradigm shift from simple backup and recovery to total data management, and serves as a guide to IT managers on how to plan cost-effective strategies for their data centers. The book also provides examples of immerging technologies that can keep the data center evolving while reducing the cost of operation for data management.
Oussama holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Saint Thomas and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science/Mathematics from Ripon College.

Worldwide Customer Experience and Support
Jay serves as Vice President, Worldwide Customer Experience and Support, where he is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction.
With over 20 years managing successful teams within the technology industry, Jay has partnered with sales organizations in companies ranging from startups to large, multi-billion corporations.
Most recently, Jay led the global retention organization for Brocade, where he increased operational efficiency and reduced margin of error within the contract renewals and order processing organizations. Further, he was responsible for increasing the contract renewal rate from the low 60% range to over 85% in just over four years.
Previously, Jay headed support, technical sales, and sales teams at Stellent (acquired by Oracle Corporation), as well as consulting teams for Ironworks Consulting.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from St. Cloud State University and a Masters of Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Argosy University.
Gerard joined Arcserve as vice president, Worldwide Sales, in February 2015. He has nearly 20 years of sales and sales management experience, driving and achieving company transformational sales initiative and critical business objectives in the highly competitive IT marketplace.
Most recently, Gerard was VP of North American Sales for Achievers, where he doubled revenue over the last year. As VP of North American Strategic Supply Management Sales at IBM / Emptoris, Gerard led the top performing software division. He also provided visionary leadership across multifunctional teams while in sales management roles at Oracle Corporation and i2 Technologies.
Gerard’s passion is building customer and partner-focused organizations from the ground up. He is motivated by creating unique value for the channel and delivering customer delight – expanding business opportunities to drive organizational growth that is founded upon creating an exceptional customer experience.
Gerard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary. Gerard lives in Minnesota with his wife and two daughters. He is focused on perfecting his golf game and also enjoys gourmet cooking.
Brent is the Vice President of Human Resources at Arcserve, and brings over 15 years of leadership experience developing and leading performance-based cultures in both public and privately-held global environments.
Most recently, Brent served as Vice President of Human Resources for Colder Products, Inc., where he was responsible for leading and managing all global HR functions, including: performance management, succession planning, talent management, training and development, organizational effectiveness, compensation and benefits, employee relations and HR systems. Prior to Colder, he held various HR leadership roles with Minco Products and Honeywell focused on talent acquisition, development, performance management, employee relations and process improvement.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Winona State University.
