We are excited to announce the release of Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) 9.0. Arcserve UDP 9.0 future-proofs every data infrastructure with robust protection for every type of workload. The solution combines complete data protection, including advanced cybersecurity protection with Sophos Intercept X Advanced, immutable storage, tape backup, and scalable onsite and offsite business continuity.
A recent independent research study of IT decision makers (ITDMS) commissioned by Arcserve found that 83 percent of respondents have a data resilience strategy. But only 23 percent have a comprehensive approach, and nearly half (45 percent) of organizations facing data loss couldn’t recover all their data. Those that experienced permanent data loss likely couldn’t maintain business continuity, often because their disaster recovery plans weren’t up to date, tested, and well documented.
Designed to strengthen Arcserve’s Unified Data Resilience platform, Arcserve UDP 9.0 has unique features, enhancements, and product updates, including:
Cloud-Based management console:
You can choose a cloud-based management console (Cloud Console) or an on-premises private management console to suit your operational needs. Cloud Console is multitenant with enhanced security offered via Arcserve Identity Services.
Store backups directly on cloud object storage:
Enhanced availability, durability, and scalability with the ability to store Arcserve UDP backups directly on Amazon S3, Wasabi, or Google Cloud Storage. Lowers TCO and enhances DR support with cloud-based offsite safe stores.
Enhanced Oracle database protection:
A variety of protection benefits, such as agentless backups via RMAN, Assured Recovery, and others, will now be available for Oracle DB on Solaris. You can now perform a restore of an entire Oracle Pluggable Database (PDB) or granularly restore Oracle PDB Tablespaces to their original location.
Advanced recovery options for Microsoft SQL Server:
Improved granularity with point-In-time recovery for SQL Server, allowing database recovery to any transaction point between two recovery points. Restore integrity by running a consistency check to ensure the data retrieved represents usable data.
Complete Ransomware Resilience
“The data resilience of organizations of all sizes is constantly challenged with the volumes and types of data they need to manage, protect, and secure,” said Florian Malecki, executive vice president of marketing at Arcserve. “Arcserve UDP 9.0 takes data resilience to the next level delivering enhanced data protection, performance reliability, and management. By offering complete ransomware resilience in one solution, Arcserve UDP 9.0 helps our partners drive customer value and growth opportunities in this burgeoning market.”
